What’s new

Clipory 1.4.2

Multi-select & the cheat sheetAugust 5, 2026Latest

New

  • New shortcuts to select several clips at once: ⇧⌘A selects all, ⇧↓ extends. Copy or paste the whole set in one go.
  • A cleaner keyboard shortcuts card. Press ⌘? twice for the full sheet.
  • Delete clips now has an option to delete only images.
  • Search shows the matching line inside screenshots.
  • Grid tiles show their shortcuts, with actions on hover.

Fixed

  • Fixed an issue where the license key could not be activated.
  • Better VoiceOver support.
  • Some smaller fixes. Typing, scrolling and the grid feel lighter.

Clipory 1.4.1

Polish for 1.4July 30, 2026
  • Grid view switches more smoothly and quickly.
  • Every row of the Choose Collection menu now fits in view.

Clipory 1.4

Contexts, Keep on Top & PreviewJuly 29, 2026

Every app can have its own view of your history, and the window can stay on top while you work.

Fewer buttons on each clip. Note and delete are off the hover row, to prevent misclicks. Both still work from their shortcuts and the actions menu (⌘↩). If you would rather click them, you can go back to Clipory 1.3 for now.

New

  • Contexts (⌘B). Show only clips from the app you’re in. You can build a custom view for any app, and have it switch on automatically. Settings → General.
  • Keep on Top (⌘⌃K). Pin the window open while you work. Pastes land in the app in front, and ⌘1–9 paste without leaving it.
  • Preview (Space). See an image full size. On a file, Space opens Quick Look.
  • Find inside a clip (⌘F). Searches the open clip, including a screenshot’s recognised text. and ⇧↵ step through matches.
  • Automatic backups (Pro). Daily, weekly, or your own schedule, restored from inside the app.

Changed

  • One filter bar. App, Collection, and type filters stack as chips and combine. Esc removes one at a time.
  • Lighter list text. Titles render at Medium now. Bold is the 1.3 look. Settings → General.
  • Launch centred. A new Centered option, alongside the default spot just above the Dock.
  • Also: keyboard scrolling in details, a has-a-note Collection rule, the footer shows where will paste, web search can be switched off, Collection corner markers, and copying a file in Finder captures the file itself. Plus a long tail of polish, and a faster window: it opens in under a tenth of a second and search keeps up with tens of thousands of clips.

Fixed

  • Shortcuts work while you type Japanese. On macOS 26, ⌘1–9 and ⌘W did nothing while Japanese input was active. Clipory now reads the physical key, so they work in any input source.

Clipory 1.3

IME input optimisationJuly 13, 2026Download 1.3.0

Typing with Japanese, Chinese, Korean, or any other input method got a major upgrade. Thanks to the user who sent feedback on this!

  • Confirming a conversion no longer pastes. While you compose, every key belongs to the input method: ↵ confirms, ↑/↓ move through candidates, Esc cancels. Dead keys (⌥E…) behave too, and Korean keeps its native single-press Enter, like Spotlight.
  • Search can filter while you compose. Results narrow live on the in-progress text instead of waiting for the confirmed conversion. A new setting controls it (“Search while converting text” in Settings → General → Language & Input); it starts on when your Mac’s language is Japanese, off otherwise.
  • Search understands Japanese text forms. Half-width and full-width match each other (test finds TEST), hiragana finds katakana (くりっぷ finds クリップ), and matches are highlighted and counted everywhere.
  • Japanese, Chinese & Korean search got much faster. Typing with an input method now filters as lightly as English typing, even on large libraries.
  • The actions menu (⌘↩) reads at a glance. Actions are grouped, with an icon for each.
  • Notes lead the details. In the narrow single-column layout a clip’s note now sits at the top in a stable position, and the edit-note shortcut has a label.

Clipory 1.2.1

Find inside a clipJuly 12, 2026
  • Find inside a clip (⌘G). While a search is active, open a clip and its matches light up; ⌘G jumps to the next one, ⇧⌘G goes back. It works in a screenshot’s recognised text too.
  • Clip titles line up. Text, link & code clips now carry a small type icon sized to the thumbnails, so every row starts at the same edge (a reader’s suggestion). Prefer bare rows? Turn on “Hide type icons” in Settings → General.
  • Image & file descriptions look the part. Their line (“1728 × 1080 · PNG”, a file’s name) now renders slightly muted: it describes the clip, not the text that gets pasted.
  • Your keys, your rules. Give any arrow a second key (⌃P/⌃N come ready on ↑/↓; vim’s ⌃J/⌃K fit too), and press while recording to clear any shortcut, including the global hotkey.
  • Bigger window, bigger clip. Enlarging the details page now grows the content, and an image’s preview grows with the window instead of stopping at a fixed size.
  • File previews show the file. The side preview displays a file’s actual content, not just its name and path.
  • Plus: the ⌘1–9 slots follow “Press ↵ to copy”, and the settings copy got tidier.

Clipory 1.2

Multi-select, Share & EditJuly 9, 2026

A big one. The highlights:

  • Select many clips at once. ⌘-click or ⇧-click, then copy, delete, save, or share the whole set.
  • Share (⇧⌘S) sends any clip to Messages, Mail, AirDrop…
  • Edit a clip in place (⌘E) lets you fix a typo or correct a screenshot’s text.
  • Grid view & file previews show images, files and colours as tiles.
  • Esc backs out one step at a time, and an accidental dismissal keeps your place for about 20 seconds.
  • Search matches now glow marker yellow, so they’re easy to spot.
  • Save to file (⌘S) joins ⌘⌥A add-to-collection, rebindable collection shortcuts, and dozens of fixes, including full macOS Tahoe support.
